The wonderful thing about music:
I’ve been asked this question a few times; what music can you absolutely not stand? This question is tough for a person like me because the enjoyment I get from listening to music isn’t always based on how “good” it is, but how it makes me feel. If a song can make me feel something, then I like it. For example, there’s nothing better than listening to Classic hip hop or gritty rap like Three 6 Mafia and ripping a blunt. The way City and Colour can literally make you feel his pain, the way MGMT can make you want to dance, or the way The Black Keys makes you feel sexy. The way bands like Lamb of God and Protest the Hero go so perfectly with driving beneath the sunshine with the windows rolled down. To be inspired or moved by something is so profound to me, and I find a lot of satisfaction in many different styles of music and expression in general. There’s something incredibly inspiring about someone that can express themselves flawlessly.
